He holds Ph.D Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ibadan,Nigeria.
SOUDIEN CRAIN ARTHUR Professor Crain Soudien is the Chief Executive Officer of the Human Sciences Research Council, effective 1 September 2015. He is formerly a Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Cape Town. He is a joint professor in Education and African Studies. Dr Edem Mahu is a lecturer of Marine Geochemistry at the Department of Marine and Fisheries Sciences of the University of Ghana. She earned her PhD in Oceanography at the University Ghana in 2014. Her research pioneered the use of radioisotopes in reconstructing the pollution history of heavy metals in nearshore systems in the Gulf of Guinea over the last 150 to 200 years. NGILA JANE CATHERINE Prof Jane Catherine Ngila received her Bachelor of Education in Science, BEd (Science) and MSc (Chemistry) from Kenyatta University, Kenya in 1986 and 1992, respectively. She obtained her PhD from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia in 1996. He holds Ph.D Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ibadan,Nigeria.

Dr Edem Mahu is a lecturer of Marine Geochemistry at the Department of Marine and Fisheries Sciences of the University of Ghana. She earned her PhD in Oceanography at the University Ghana in 2014. Her research pioneered the use of radioisotopes in reconstructing the pollution history of heavy metals in nearshore systems in the Gulf of Guinea over the last 150 to 200 years. MAKINDE OLUWOLE DANIEL Prof O. D. Makinde is a Senior Professor & Director of the Institute for Advanced Research in Mathematical Modeling and Computations (IARMMC) at Cape-Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Applied and Computational Mathematics at Nelson–Mandela Institute of Science and Technology in Arusha,Tanzania.

The African Academy of Sciences (AAS) is a non-aligned, non-political, not-for-profit pan African organisation. The AAS’ vision is to see transformed lives on the African continent through science.
