ALIA SUSTAINABLE LIBRARIES (ALIA GREEN) The ALIA Sustainable Libraries Group has been established to inform & educate colleagues on issues of sustainability. The group will support and promote research and professional development, and increase the awareness of environmental concerns amongst library staff. Library and Information Week (LIW) and National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS), which falls in the middle of the week, have been fixtures in the Australian library calendar for more than 20 years, but in 2020, with the impact of COVID-19, they were a little bit different. The theme for 2021 is Adventures in Time and Space, to both foster a PROFESSIONAL PATHWAYS Across the next few years ALIA is undertaking its boldly ambitious initiative to strengthen the profession, increase diversity and help create a future-ready workforce named 'Professional Pathways'.
