ASBC Initiatives Love the Bus. Launched in 2007, Love the Bus is an annual month-long celebration held each February. The event highlights the important role of the yellow school bus in education and shows appreciation for the school bus drivers who safely transport more than 25 million children to and from school every day. SCHOOLS - AMERICAN SCHOOL BUS COUNCIL Thousands of school districts in over 40 states participate in local and state-level competitions to select artwork drawn by students that depicts school bus safety-related themes and encourages and promotes school bus safety. Posters can be drawn anytime until February 26, 2021. Every poster and slogan must harmonize with the 2021 poster ABOUT - AMERICAN SCHOOL BUS COUNCIL American School Bus Council (ASBC) ASBC was formed in 2006 to educate parents, school officials, lawmakers, and the public about the essential safety, environmental, and equal-access to education benefits of the iconic yellow school bus.
