Animal Equality’s vision is a world in which all animals are respected and protected. Animal Equality is an international organisation working with society, governments and CAMPAIGNS | ANIMAL EQUALITY U.K. Animal Equality has conducted investigations into the foie gras industry in both France and Spain. In 2017, we launched a campaign to ban the importation and sale of foie gras in the UK. We have secured cross-party political backing and over 200,000 signatures of support for the public. To achieve this, animals are selectively bred to grow unnaturally fast, causing them to develop physiological problems.Lameness, weakened or broken bones, infections and organ failure are common health problems for factory farmed animals. Although they are individuals who are capable of thinking and feeling, and who want to enjoy their lives, they linger in misery on factory farms all around the world. PIGLETS HAMMERED ON ‘HIGH WELFARE’ FARM The covert footage revealed piglets who were deemed too small or too weak killed by being slammed onto a concrete floor or hammered to death.
