Maine has something to offer everyone: winding, remote country lanes, picturesque coastal routes, quiet rail trails, and miles of mountainous terrain. We’ve curated hundreds of routes, from easy and short to advanced, on and off-road, with points of interest including bike service locations, food stops, scenic views, parks, and more. THE BIKEMAINE WEEKEND The event will include: One, or two days of spectacular cycling along Maine’s Bold Coast on fun, challenging, and thoroughly handcrafted routes, with unique stops and attractions along the way each day. 10 mile, 35 mile, and two 65-mile to 75-mile options for riders of all abilities. Single day registration is $75, two day registration is$140.

BIKING BASICS
Riding a bike is a great form of exercise, recreation, and, if possible, our favorite way to commute. Whether you are new to riding a bike or you’ve been riding for years, there are some biking basics you should know in order to ride safely. BIKEMAINE WEEKEND FAQ The BikeMaine Weekend will be held September 11 – 12, 2021 in Machias. If you are travelling from away, and plan to ride on Saturday, we recommend arriving on Friday, as Machias is Downeast (that is, up north—3 1/2 hours north of Portland). Click here toregister.

In 2020, the Bicycle Coalition of Maine was named the state coordinator for the Ride of Silence, and this year, we are working with groups and individuals across the state to encourage greater ridership. As the situation with coronavirus (COVID-19) evolves, the Bicycle Coalition of Maine office remains closed to employees and visitors. We apologize for the inconvenience but wish to prioritize BIKEMAINE | BICYCLE COALITION OF MAINE BikeMaine was founded in 2012 to promote Maine as a bicycling destination, and to use cycling as an economic development tool for local communities. BikeMaine is hosted by the Bicycle Coalition of Maine, but it is not a fundraiser for the non-profit, as all proceeds from the event are used to support BikeMaine host communities in theform of

Maine has something to offer everyone: winding, remote country lanes, picturesque coastal routes, quiet rail trails, and miles of mountainous terrain. We’ve curated hundreds of routes, from easy and short to advanced, on and off-road, with points of interest including bike service locations, food stops, scenic views, parks, and more. THE BIKEMAINE WEEKEND The BikeMaine Weekend is currently at capacity. Please call 207-623-4511 or email ride@bikemaine.org to be added to the waitlist. Let us know your name, phone number, and if you are looking for single-day (Saturday or Sunday only) or a two-day registration. We will open more spots if and when CDC guidelines change regarding outdoor event capacity.THE WOMEN’S RIDE
