SOUNDING THE COSMOGRAM A recent recipient of the Francis Chagrin Composer Award, Helen Anahita Wilson premieres her latest solo project at the Bloomsbury Festival. Sounding the Cosmogram explores ancient Tantric diagrams as musically navigable graphic scores. Bloomsbury Festival is a unique creative enterprise, uniting this vibrant community, and creating a trail-blazing, innovative programme to showcase Bloomsbury. Proposals for presenting creative work at the festival are now open and should be submitted by end of April 2021. Bloomsbury Festival welcomes the return of summer with an afternoon and evening of performance and delights in Bedford Square Gardens. 26 LEAPS - BLOOMSBURY FESTIVAL Writers’ group 26 have partnered with Bloomsbury Festival 2019 to create a project that puts writing at the heart of the community. Here we have an area with an extraordinary past, present and future. EYE:SPY - BLOOMSBURY FESTIVAL Spying out hidden stories. The EYE:SPY project sets out to uncover some of Bloomsbury’s untold stories. While many of the area’s residents are famous (Charles Dickens; Virginia Woolf), countless others are obscure and largely forgotten, and we wanted to bring themto light.

FOR TEN DAYS EACH OCTOBER, THE STREETS, PARKS, MUSEUMS, GALLERIES, LABORATORIES AND PUBLIC AND PRIVATE BUILDINGS OF THIS VIBRANT CULTURAL QUARTER PLAY HOST TO UP TO 130 EVENTS DEVELOPED WITH PARTNERS ALONGSIDE BLOOMSBURY FESTIVAL PRODUCTIONS AND COMMISSIONS. BLOOMSBURY FESTIVAL 2020 TOOK PLACE FROM FRIDAY 16 OCTOBER UNTIL SUNDAY 25 OCTOBER. THE THEME FOR 2020 WAS VISION. FOR 2020 WE HAD TO DO THINGS A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY. OUR EVENTS WERE PRESENTED BY A RANGE OF MEANS – DIGITALLY, LIVE AND SOCIALLY DISTANCED. IN 2020 WE WORKED WITH BLOOMSBURY RADIO TO COVER THE FESTIVAL FOR AN ONLINE AND LOCAL AUDIENCE, AND WE HAD A NEW VERSION OF FESTIVAL IN A BOX , AN OUTREACH PROJECT BRINGING THE JOY OF THE FESTIVAL TO PEOPLE IN THE LOCAL AREA WHO ARE UNABLE TO COME TO US.
