SAN ONOFRE STATE BEACH CAMPING San Mateo Campground. San Onofre State Beach's San Mateo Campground offers 157 campsites for tents and RVs or trailers. RV or trailer only sites are #1 - #67. Other sites are for tents, trailers, or RVs. Trailer sizes for all sites range from 24 feet to 40 feet. SALT POINT ACTIVITIES Salt Point State Park Activities. Visitors to Salt Point State Park are rewarded with a spectacular 9-mile long coast. Hiking and enjoying the amazing scenery are the most popular activities at the park. Caution: Before setting out, always check with rangers that conditions are safe for your planned activitites. MONTEREY DUNES BEACHES Monterey Dunes Beaches. The Dunes Beaches are a string of four similar state beaches along the northern Monterey County coast. Sand dunes serve as buffers for ocean breezes and as habitat for shore creatures. None of the state beaches has been developed beyond parking areas, simple restroom facilities, boardwalks, and a few picnic tables. NORTHERN VENTURA COUNTY BEACHES The Ventura Coastal Bike Path provides a cycling route from San Buenaventura State Beach all the way north to Hobson Beach Park.. The 11-mile route begins in Ventura as a separate bike path. Farther up the coast it becomes a bike lane on the shoulder of the Pacific CoastHighway.
