SCOTTISH CANOE ASSOCIATION The Third Sector Resilience Fund (TSRF) is a £20m emergency fund for charities, community groups, social enterprises and voluntary organisations working in Scotland. The fund supports organisations that already deliver services and products but find themselves in financial difficulties directly as a result of the coronaviruspandemic.

LINLITHGOW LOCH
Restrictions on access to Linlithgow Loch. Access to Linlithgow Loch is currently restricted due to the closure of Lowport Centre. Access is normally arranged by purchasing a permit from Lowport for £4. However, the centre is currently completely closed. Historic Environment Scotland are trying to contact Lowport Centre to discussthe issue.

GLASGOW TO EDINBURGH CHALLENGE 2021 The event is over two days with set stages. Day 1 - Forth & Clyde Canal from Speirs Warf, Glasgow to Falkirk Wheel, c. 24 miles. Day 2 - Union Canal from above Falkirk Wheel to Lochrin Basin, Edinburgh, c. 31 miles. Paddlers under 16 years on 1st January cannot attempt the Challenge non-stop, they may only take part as part of a relay teamwith

For a number of these Committees, an ACM will be held in the coming weeks. The goal of an ACM is to provide an open forum for SCA members, who are interested in this discipline/area, to hear from the committee on their forward plans and to find out what they have been up to. SCOTTISH CANOE ASSOCIATION Anyone wishing to pursue a Coaching or Leadership Qualification is required to centrally register with the appropriate National Association (British Canoeing, Canoe Wales, Scottish Canoe Association, Canoe Association of Northern Ireland).Registration is the process by which you confirm your intention to study towards a particular qualification. SCOUTS SCOTLAND: PADDLESPORTS ADULT TRAINING AND Paddlesports Adult Training and Development Programme. In 2019 Scouts Scotland and the SCA formed a partnership with the aim to increase the opportunities for young people to take part in paddlesport. To achieve this vision the plan is to develop paddlesport hubs across the country where scout groups can access safe and enjoyable paddlesports RIVER TWEED: LOWER MAKERSTOUN Potential danger at Lower Makerstoun on the River Tweed which is being caused by discarded shopping trolleys. They are being thrown into the Tweed miles upstream and then being washed down to the narrow choke point at the "Goat Hole" and eddies of Lower Makerstoun causing submerged wire strainers with the potential for the entrapment of swimmers and capsized paddlers.
