Homeless Services provide shelter and case management for individuals with chronic mental and physical health needs and families experiencing homelessness. Services include permanent supportive housing and sixteen independent apartments for DISABILITY SERVICES IN THE NEW ORLEANS AREA Padua House, formerly known as Padua Pediatrics, is a residential program for those of all ages with intellectual disabilities who are medically fragile. Located at 200 Beta Street in Belle Chasse, it is a licensed Intermediate Care Facility and offers the following services: 24-hour nursing care from staff nurses and a 24-hour on-call doctor. FOOD FOR SENIORS PROGRAM IN NEW ORLEANS INTERNSHIPS WITH PROGRAMS AT CATHOLIC CHARITIES NEW ORLEANS Internships. Internships in many of our programs are available for applicable course credit. Residents pay a modest rent, provide their own meals, and are able to live a relatively independent life. Program participants are referred to CCANO from case managers, hospitals, and the National Association for Mental Illness(NAMI).

FOOD FOR SENIORS PROGRAM IN NEW ORLEANS Food for Seniors provides monthly nutritional food boxes to seniors who are 60 years old or older and meet Federal Income Guidelines. Catholic Charities Food for Seniors is the sole agency of Louisiana’s Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) which works to improve the health of low-income elderly persons at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA Foods.
