At approximately 3:20 p.m., a team of school district administrators and school board members picked up the shovels that were lined up in a mound of dirt and dug into the soft soil. PENN TOWNSHIP RECEIVES $1 MILLION GRANT FOR DEVELOPMENT OF Penn Township’s efforts to continue to develop a sports park received a big boost last week when it was announced that the township had received $1 million in grant funding through the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation Partnerships Program.This grant program is funded with a variety of state and federal funding sources, including the federal Land and Water Conservation Fund. PRIMARY ELECTION RESULTS The Primary Election results suggest that it’s at least possible. According to the election data, more Democrats went to the polls last Tuesday than Republicans. There were 30,070 ballots cast on the Democratic side, while Republicans cast 26,272 ballots. Total voter turnout was at 19.60 percent.
