The current Young Coneys are a crackly and creative group of 44 local young change-makers, aged between 7-13. They’re offered a rolling education in play, giving them the opportunity to nurture their individual superpowers and use their creativity to change the world. A young change maker is someone who on their own, or as part of a team OPPORTUNITY: CALL FOR A TREASURER Please note, as a Trustee for a registered charity this is a voluntary position. Director. Tassos first got involved with what was to become Coney in 2004 when he answered a ringing phone passed him by a stranger. He coined the name Coney as a front in 2006, and is now the (artistic) director and runner (aka joint chief executive) of the company with Becki Haines.. As a maker on projects, he most frequently works as any of director, writer, interaction designer HQ RECOMMENDS: WHAT WE’RE LOVING RIGHT NOW HQ recommends: What we’re loving right now. It’s a tough world out there at the moment – there seems to be bad news around every corner. So this week, the HQ team are sharing recommendations of things that bring us joy.A CAT ESCAPES
Linking closely to the Key Stage 2 curriculum, A Cat Escapes is Coney’s flagship Adventure in Learning and has been enjoyed by more than 1500 primary school pupils across the UK. Based on the award-winning Varjak Paw novels by S. F. Said, the adventure casts pupils as heroes in an engrossing, responsive narrative that motivatesthem to learn.

TOBY PEACH - CONEYHQ.ORG Toby Peach is a theatre maker, performer and director. Toby was on the BBC Arts Fund’s ‘Ones to Watch’ list in 2015 where he completed his BBC Community Theatre fellowship with The Old Vic.. In 2009 Toby was faced with the prospect of doing an admin placement in his second year of a Community Theatre degree at East 15, in an effort to find some fun in this he came across an Agency of EARLY DAYS (OF A BETTER NATION) October 2014 – May 2015 . Early Days (of a better nation) is a piece of playing theatre which explores the possibilities of nationhood and democracy, drawing inspiration from the 2011 England riots, Arab Spring, Iceland’s crowd-sourced constitution and the rise (and fall) of Occupy. They’re offered a rolling education in play, giving them the opportunity to nurture their individual superpowers and use their creativity to change the world. Linking closely to the Key Stage 2 curriculum, A Cat Escapes is Coney’s flagship Adventure in Learning and has been enjoyed by more than 1500 primary school pupils across the UK. Based on the award-winning Varjak Paw novels by S. F. Said, the adventure casts pupils as heroes in an engrossing, responsive narrative that motivatesthem to learn.

Rumours that Coney is a front for another organisation (headed by something or someone called Rabbit) aretypically denied.

Director. Tassos first got involved with what was to become Coney in 2004 when he answered a ringing phone passed him by a stranger. He coined the name Coney as a front in 2006, and is now the (artistic) director and runner (aka joint chief executive) of the company with Becki Haines.. As a maker on projects, he most frequently works as any of director, writer, interaction designer EARLY DAYS (OF A BETTER NATION) October 2014 – May 2015 . Early Days (of a better nation) is a piece of playing theatre which explores the possibilities of nationhood and democracy, drawing inspiration from the 2011 England riots, Arab Spring, Iceland’s crowd-sourced constitution and the rise (and fall) of Occupy. The war is over and the nation lies in ruins. You and your fellow survivors must build the beginnings of a POSTS TAGGED: A GAME OF LEGACY A Game Of Legacy: Limited run, public release. A Game of Legacy was made for and by Jedi master of play BernietaDeKoven, as he neared theend of his life.

In Autumn 2013 we worked with two Kilburn primary schools and Creativeworks London to measure the academic impact of A Cat Escapes. The project ran with Undercurrent Festival in Shoreham and Birmingham Rep Theatre in the Midlands in Spring 2014. HOW WE SAVE THE WORLD: AN INTERVIEW WITH MICHELLE How We Save The World: An interview with Michelle. Tomorrow night, Coney presents How We Save The World, commissioned by the Natural Environment Research Council as part of the Natural History Museum‘s 30th November Lates event.. Besides three pop-up games running throughout the evening, we’re incredibly excited to share a brand new interactive show in the Museum’s Flett Auditorium.CONEYHQ.ORG

Toby was on the BBC Arts Fund’s ‘Ones to Watch’ list in 2015 where he completed his BBC Community Theatre fellowship with The Old Vic.. In 2009 Toby was faced with the prospect of doing an admin placement in his second year of a Community Theatre degree at East 15, in an effort to find some fun in this he came across an Agency of* Blog
