It is important for employers to thoroughly assess and effectively address each issue. This means performing a job safetyanalysis
ADDRESSING BIOHAZARD SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE Biohazards consist of bacteria, virus, and fungi pathogens, as well as parasites. Remembering to provide the correct equipment, training, and visual communication is essential.PIPE COLOR CODES
ANSI/ASME A13.1 Pipe Marking Standard. Pipe color-coding is not a complicated process, especially if industry standards are used. There are many standards out there from a variety of sources, but by far the most popular is the ANSI /ASME A13.1 standard. This standard explains colors, text, size, and placement of pipe marking labels. WHEN AND HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CONDUCT WORKPLACE SAFETY One of the most effective ways to keep workers safe while on the job is to provide training. OSHA believes training is essential to any safety and health program and as an employer, you will need to meet their standards for training and education.. While training is often different from facility to facility, there are general training needs that every workplace will need to address. KANBAN (WITH EXAMPLES) A Brief History of the Kanban Methodology. Kanban was first used in manufacturing environments by Taiichi Ohno of the Toyota Motor Company in the mid-20th century. Kanban began with American supermarket stocking techniques that caught Ohno’s attention, and while he observed their methods, he noticed the supermarkets were able to function without storing excessive amounts of inventory. NFPA 25: STANDARDS FOR FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS The NFPA 25 code covers maintenance, testing, and inspection of water based sprinkler systems, a common fire protection system for all buildings and facilities, whereas OSHA works to enforce appropriate risk assessment and hazard identification protocol. The combination of NFPA 25 and OSHA’s mandates on risk and hazard identification mustbe
