INFORMATION SESSION: THURSDAY, MAY 20, 2021 (VIRTUAL Academic Director Ken Byrne leads the presentation during our Fall Virtual Information Session. On Thursday, May 20, the Conway School will offer a live, online information session for prospective students interested in learning more about the school. We will have presentations from recent alumni and a Q&A with faculty and staff. CURRICULUM | THE CONWAY SCHOOL The Conway Curriculum. Important note for 2020-2021: Under normal circumstances, the Conway degree course is an in-person, ten-month program, as described below.In light of the risks of COVID-19 and our commitment to the well-being of students and employees and to the integrity of the MSED degree, we have, with input of the most recently graduated class and the incoming students, determined APPLY | THE CONWAY SCHOOL Conway will schedule a personal interview with faculty once the application is complete. Our application form can be filled out online and submitted by email. The Conway School does not require or accept GRE scores or other standardized testing scores. Conway decided to eliminate application fees beginning with applicants for the 2020-2021 ALUMS | THE CONWAY SCHOOL Who Are Conway Alums? For nearly fifty years, Conway has offered ten months of intensive, specialized graduate study that prepares students to work as ecological designers and planners—over 700 of whom are now making a substantial difference in the world, taking on issues of great concern, including improved food systems, revitalization of struggling urban communities, conservation of FACULTY | THE CONWAY SCHOOL Visiting Speakers Conway invites landscape designers, planners, educators, ecologists, and other professionals to lecture at the school, work with students in studio, or hold a field session. While the faculty schedule many speakers on an annual or biennial basis, the TUITION + FINANCIAL AID The Conway School participates in the U. S. Department of Education’s Direct Loan Program.Stafford and Direct PLUS loans are available through this program. Stafford unsubsidized loans can fund up to $20,500 toward the cost of graduate education. These government loans are offered at fixed interest rates and repayment may be deferred while in school; loan payments need not begin until six STAFF | THE CONWAY SCHOOL Kate Cholakis ’11 teaches Ecological Design at the Conway School, and also handles admissions and communications for the school.Kate is a landscape designer who created her own business after graduating from the Conway School. She specialized in ecological landscape design for residential clients and large-scale landscapes.FOR COMMUNITIES
Conway provides community design and planning services under contract and at cost, primarily for municipal and non-profit organizations. Important note for 2020-2021: For the 2020-2021 academic year, the Conway School will not be taking on new student design projects; however, we are actively developing projects for the 2021-2022 academic year. Please contact CJ Lammers by email to learn more. SUCCESSFUL MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF INVADED SITES Implementation. Once the management plan is in place, it is time to begin implementation. The Project – Existing Conditions. As described earlier, this project site comprised approximately 46,000 square feet of heavily invaded coastal bank and buffer zone wetlandresource areas.

Although he hadn’t envisioned a design school in a rural setting, for reasons of economy, Walt began the school in his Conway home and peripheral buildings—a sugar-house and a converted barn. Department of Education’s Direct Loan Program.Stafford and Direct PLUS loans are available through this program. Stafford unsubsidized loans can fund up to $20,500 toward the cost of graduate education.
