Now in its 24th year, the Central Avenue Jazz Festival is a homage to the musical and cultural history of the area. The free two-day community festival presents a diverse lineup of food, art, culture, and vibrant music. PERCENT FOR PUBLIC ART DCA supports artists and cultural projects through two arts programs within its Public Art Division, each committed to the creation and/or maintenance of art within the public realm.The City of Los Angeles occasionally sends out requests for proposals or qualifications for public art opportunities. CENTRAL AVENUE JAZZ FESTIVAL With music as its binder, Central Avenue quickly became the heart and soul of the African American community in Los Angeles. Now in its 24th year, the Central Avenue Jazz Festival is a homage to the musical and cultural history of the area. The free two-day community festival presents a diverse lineup of food, art, culture, and vibrant music.
