First published in 1940, this book is a thoroughly lovely little reprint, tapping firmly into the increasing trend for foraging. Without photographs, quaint illustrations alone YELLOW PERIL: YELLOW TOMATO & GINGER CHUTNEY I decided to make a spicier version of my original yellow tomato chutney, as in addition to a last flush of the ‘Sun Baby’ or ‘Sun Belle’ tomatoes I’d used from our garden earlier this year, we also had a sudden rush of a heritage tomato variety called‘Yellow Peach’.

Even though the house is closed the SOURDOUGH ON A SUNDAY: GOT Sourdough on a Sunday: got into Regent Street London at 7am, ready for today’s hands-on #sourdoughworkshop at @cookeryschoollondon. The streets were utterly quiet, there’s a certain joy being in London when there’s virtually no-one stirring, feels very secret andspecial.
