MOBILE FOOD PANTRY
Volunteer. Volunteering with the DMARC Mobile Food Pantry is just like helping a friend grocery shop! As a Mobile Food Pantry volunteer, you will meet at the mobile pantry site and assist clients in selecting their food items after they have gone through intake. FOOD PANTRY LOCATIONS DMARC partners with 14 food pantry sites around the city to provide food for people who request it, and operates additional Mobile Food Pantry sites as well. To find out which pantry is closest to you, use our mapping tool or contact DMARC at 515-277-6969. Below is a list of locations and hours for food pantries in the DMARC Food PantryNetwork.
DELIVERY | DMARC UNITED DMARC asks that only those with health, transportation, or other mitigating circumstances use this service. Call 1-833-DMARC-20 (1-833-362-7220) toll-free to request a delivery. This number is be staffed by trained volunteers and staff from 9:00am to 12:00pm, Monday through Friday. Requests for delivery are taken on a first-comefirst-serve basis.

DMARC’s Hunger Simulation is an immersive interactive experience for you to learn what it’s like to live with food insecurity. In the Hunger Simulation, you take on the identity of a real person experiencing food insecurity. You have 15 minutes to determine your food budget and get the recommended USDA MyPlate servings of fruits,vegetables

In 2015, Red Barrel donations totaled 99,904 food items. Contributing to the red barrel is as easy as buying a few extra cans of food while you shop and dropping them in on your way out of the store. Another even better way to contribute is to buy a $6.00 or $12.00 hunger sack, a grocery bag containing the most needed items.SPRING GREENS

Joe helped build the Mobile Food Pantry Program from its infancy. The Mobile Food Pantry Program has more than double in size since 2016. We have grown to occupy 9,000 square feet of warehouse space with pallet racking and walk-in coolers and freezers, employ a staff of 17 people, manage a fleet of six vehicles, and assist over 58,000 unique individuals on an annual basis. DMARC FOOD PANTRY NETWORK The DMARC Food Pantry warehouse operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Volunteers normally work from either 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. There is, however, a considerable amount of flexibility associated with times and frequency that a volunteer canMOBILE FOOD PANTRY
Volunteer. Volunteering with the DMARC Mobile Food Pantry is just like helping a friend grocery shop! As a Mobile Food Pantry volunteer, you will meet at the mobile pantry site and assist clients in selecting their food items after they have gone through intake. FOOD PANTRY LOCATIONS DMARC partners with 14 food pantry sites around the city to provide food for people who request it, and operates additional Mobile Food Pantry sites as well. DELIVERY | DMARC UNITED DMARC asks that only those with health, transportation, or other mitigating circumstances use this service. Call 1-833-DMARC-20 (1-833-362-7220) toll-free to request a delivery. This number is be staffed by trained volunteers and staff from 9:00am to 12:00pm, Monday through Friday. Requests for delivery are taken on a first-comefirst-serve basis.
RED BARREL PROGRAM
In 2015, Red Barrel donations totaled 99,904 food items. Contributing to the red barrel is as easy as buying a few extra cans of food while you shop and dropping them in on your way out of the store. Another even better way to contribute is to buy a $6.00 or $12.00 hunger sack, a grocery bag containing the most needed items.SPRING GREENS
