Officers discovered the vehicle entered the front of the building and traveled out the opposite TAX ON NEW HOMES IN RUTHERFORD COUNTY CAN MEAN MORE MONEY For the past two decades, the county has charged a $1,500 development tax per new residential dwelling. The County Powers Relief Act approved by the Tennessee General Assembly in 2006 forbids the commissioners from raising the development tax.
