DSA’s 2020 Downtown Summer Sounds concert series has been cancelled due to mandatory public health guidelines. BUSINESS OUTLOOK SURVEY In spring 2020, DSA fielded a COVID-19 impact and economic outlook survey to help inform policy and advocacy efforts. The spring survey was administered through Survey Monkey from May 13–22 and received 323 responses from at least 294 unique businesses. MID CLEAN TEAM SERVICE REQUEST We’re currently providing cleaning services within the six neighborhoods of the Metropolitan Improvement District. In response to growing demand for a clean and disinfected downtown, we’re expanding service hours to 6 a.m-2:30 p.m. and 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m. every day. Last year, these ambassadors removed more than 45,000 graffiti tags and more than 970,000 gallons of trash across 285 squareblocks

Downtown Seattle’s walkability and FAMILY-FRIENDLY HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES IN DOWNTOWN SEATTLE 2020 A sleigh’s worth of new socially distanced experiences were able to take place safely downtown from Nov. 27, 2020 through Jan. 9, 2021. Dazzling holiday-themed light sculptures came to life in Westlake Park, with more than 80,000 lights shining from larger-than DOWNTOWN AMBASSADORS Downtown Ambassadors. Founded by DSA in 1999, the Metropolitan Improvement District is a business-improvement area spanning 285 square blocks in downtown – from Denny Way to Pioneer Square and from I-5 to the waterfront. With funding from MID ratepayers, DSA provides cleaning, safety, concierge and homeless outreach services insix center

Public Safety. Public safety downtown continues to be a priority for DSA. We believe downtown should be a place where everyone should be safe to work, live, shop or visit. In recent years, we have worked with partners to elevate for public officials and the media the impact that repeat criminal activity has on downtown and our city. MID CLEAN TEAM SERVICE REQUEST We’re currently providing cleaning services within the six neighborhoods of the Metropolitan Improvement District. In response to growing demand for a clean and disinfected downtown, we’re expanding service hours to 6 a.m-2:30 p.m. and 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m. every day.
