Know Your Rights. Medicaid for Employed Adults with Disabilities, (the MEAD Program) allows individuals with severe disabilities to work and still qualify for Medicaid benefits. It provides the opportunity for people with significant health needs to become more independent and self sufficient, and to break the cycle of poverty experienced by SERVICE AND COMPANION ANIMALS DRCNH A dog or miniature horse is a “service animal” if it is “individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability.”. CONDITIONAL DISCHARGE DRCNH Conditional discharge: With a conditional discharge, you must voluntarily agree to conditions in order to be discharged. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), privately owned businesses that serve the public, such as restaurants, hotels, retail stores, taxicabs, theaters, concert halls, and sports facilities, are prohibited from discriminating against individuals with disabilities.The ADA requires these businesses to allow people with disabilities to bring their service dog onto MANAGED CARE APPEALS AND GRIEVANCES Whenever an MCO takes an “action” that you disagree with you can file an appeal.If you are a member of a Medicaid managed care plan, there are two levels of appeal.
