THE TEN COMMANDMENTS DVD REVIEW (2011 2-DISC SET) The Ten Commandments looks extraordinary in this 1.78:1 presentation. While I can't compare it to past DVD transfers, I can say that this kind of perfection is rare for an over 50-year-old film. The print remains pristine and vibrant throughout, with nary a detectableshortcoming.

Please like us on FACEBOOK and follow us on TWITTER ! MAY 9, 2020 - Launching this month and proceeding all year long, DVDizzy.com is celebrating the best films of the 21st century to date with #CENTURYPROJECT. CLICK HERE or watch the short videos below for more information and to sign up to begin this countdown: DVDizzy's #CENTURYPROJECT: MARCH 25, 2020 - In honor of Women's History Month, we're giving away DIGITAL COPIES OF FIVE LIONSGATE MOVIES with female protagonists, including the recent Academy Award winners _BOMBSHELL_ and _JUDY_. ENTER DAILY now through the end of the month for your chance to win one of them! MARCH 6, 2020 - In theaters now (but not for long) is _THE WAY BACK_ , a seemingly perfectly timed comeback vehicle for Ben Affleck, who plays an alcoholic laborer returning to the Catholic high school where he starred to coach the struggling basketball team. Gavin O'Connor (_Warrior_, _Miracle_) directs this R-rated drama, hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. FULL REVIEW . FEBRUARY 25, 2020 - Our latest review is an early look at Pixar's _ONWARD_ , an original comic adventure opening in theaters on March 6th. It tells the story of two teenaged elf brothers (voiced by Tom Holland and Chris Pratt) who go on an adventure in their once-fantastical suburb to retrieve the rare gem needed to bring their late father back for one day. Dan Scanlon (_Monsters University_) directs and co-writes what is easily the most fun movie released this year. Full spoiler-free review HERE.
FEBRUARY 14, 2020 - _SONIC THE HEDGEHOG_ gives the SEGA franchise the mixed-medium family comedy treatment. James Marsden plays a Montana sheriff who becomes an ally to the fast blue otherworldly creature (voiced by Ben Schwartz) as he is pursued by the nefarious Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey). Paramount's PG-rated adaptation arrives months after scheduled, due to a character redesign brought on by Twitter backlash. FULL REVIEW.
JANUARY 24, 2020 - After a lucrative foray into Disney's sandbox, Guy Ritchie returns to his wheelhouse of unflinching capers on _THE GENTLEMEN_ , a profane and original tale of American and English criminals. Matthew McConaughey plays a marijuana empire kingpin on the cusp of retirement, who finds himself targeted by a number of troubling forces. Charlie Hunnam, Hugh Grant, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Jeremy Strong and Colin Farrell co-star in this colorful R-rated action-comedy. READ MORE.
JANUARY 17, 2020 - _BAD BOYS FOR LIFE_ dusts off Sony's Jerry Bruckheimer-produced action-comedy franchise for another go. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence play veteran Miami cops Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, who team up with a team of younger, tech-savvy types to try to track down the Mexican man who made an attempt on Lowrey's life. Michael Bay passes off the directing reins to the young Belgian duo of Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah to agreeable results.OUR REVIEW .
Now in theaters, _DOLITTLE_ casts Robert Downey Jr. in the role of the veterinarian who can speak to animals. This $175 million production surrounds the _Iron Man_ star with an assortment of visual effects and esteemed actors voicing the animals, to almost no viewer enjoyment whatsoever. Not exactly the best way to launch Downey's post-Marvel career. FULL REVIEW . JANUARY 6, 2020 - _1917_ , the surprising winner of both Best Picture and Best Director awards at Sunday night's Golden Globes, expands to nationwide release this Friday and we've got a REVIEW . Based on his grandfather's experiences, Sam Mendes' World War I epic dazzles with both craft and drama in this seemingly single-take presentation of two young British soldiers having to cross enemy lines to stop a doomed attack from taking place. Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Mark Strong, and Richard Madden chip in supporting performances, but the film largely belongs to young, unknowns George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman. Don't miss OURFULL REVIEW .
DECEMBER 25, 2019 - After some record-setting numbers in limited release, _UNCUT GEMS_ opens nationwide today. Brothers Benny and Josh Safdie (_Good Time_) wrote and directed this acclaimed, tense drama about a Diamond District jeweler (Adam Sandler) trying to climb out deep debts with some help from NBA superstar Kevin Garnett. Eric Bogosian, Idina Menzel, Judd Hirsch, Julia Fox, and The Weeknd also appear in this dark, breath-taking A24 release that's drawing some of 2019's biggest raves. OUR REVIEW.
DECEMBER 20, 2019 - Esteemed director Terrence Malick makes a grand return to form in _A HIDDEN LIFE_ , an epic drama about the life of Franz Jägerstätter (August Diehl), an Austrian farmer who objected to joining the Nazis in World War II at great consequence to him and his wife (Valerie Pachner). Boasting stunning cinematography and an exquisite James Newton Howard score, _Hidden Life_ also moves with a narrative that's Malick's most focused in decades. COMPLETE FILM REVIEW . DECEMBER 13, 2019 - _JUMANJI: THE NEXT LEVEL_ follows up Sony's Christmas 2017 blockbuster with another PG comic adventure starring Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan as the video game avatars of teenagers. Director Jake Kasdan returns and contributes to the screenplay, while Awkwafina and Dannys DeVito and Glover join the fray. FULL REVIEW . DECEMBER 8, 2019 - Nominees for the 77th Golden Globes will be announced tomorrow morning and we've got A PREVIEW AND PREDICTIONS for the fourteen movie categories, illustrated with GIFs of Globes Past. Wow everyone waking up early with your completely sound and guaranteed accurate nominee predictions! DON'T MISS THIS .
