The Red Dead Canal Mega Project: The Red Dead Canal Mega project involved the proposed transfer of 2 billion cubic meters of water from Aqaba to the Dead Sea, with the construction of a desalination facility near the Dead Sea to produce about 800 million cubic meters (mcm) of potable water, mostly destined for domestic water needs in Amman, Jordan’s capital. ABOUT US – ECOPEACE MIDDLE EAST HISTORY Originally founded as “EcoPeace” on December 7, 1994 at an historic meeting held in Taba, Egypt, we came about as environmental non-governmental organizations from the Middle East met with the common goal of furthering sustainable development and peace in theirregion.
WHAT WE DO – ECOPEACE MIDDLE EAST EcoPeace is a project oriented NGO, using both a “bottom-up” (grass roots / community) approach coupled with a“top-down” (advocacy) strategy that has proven to be a very effective work model. WATER & THE PEACE PROCESS COVID 19, Human Waste and Wastewater: A Discussion Paper for Cooperation on Water and Wastewater Management in Israel, Jordan and Palestine. Since the outbreak of the coronavirus, COVID 19 or SARS-CoV-2, considerable research has been made in order to better understand the virus, so as to control the spread of the pandemic and discover its prevention and treatment. The Eco Park serves as a support system for bringing communities and beneficiaries of the Jordan Valley together in a manner that respects the natural environment and cultural heritage of the area.
