Founded in Genoa in 1926, MITA was an Italian firm that specialized in rugs, tapestries and other textiles, and earned its reputation by collaborating with some of Italy's most talented artists. FUTURISM & PHOTOGRAPHY At the turn of the twentieth century, parascientific experiments, spiritualist photography, multi-portraits, montage effects and the chronophotographs of Etienne-Jules Marey provided a rich background against which a Futurist photo-aesthetic gradually formed.THE ART OF CAMPARI
Since the nineteenth century, Campari has been responsible for some of the most distinctive and innovative imagery created in Italy. This exhibition traced the history of Campari's pioneering approach to advertising its iconic ruby-red aperitivo. GIUSEPPE CAVALLI: MASTER OF LIGHT One of the key figures of twentieth-century Italian photography, Giuseppe Cavalli (1904-1961) is surprisingly little known outside hisnative country.

The Estorick Collection is housed in a beautiful Georgian building previously known as Northampton Lodge. It was constructed between 1807 and 1810 by the entrepreneur Henry Leroux of Stoke Newington, who leased a plot of land from the Ninth Earl of Northampton in 1803 to build a series of houses. The Estorick Collection is seeking to build a team of volunteers able to dedicate their time on a regular basis to assist in the day-to-day running of the gallery. We welcome offers of support from anyone interested in gaining an insight into the workings of a popular art gallery. Roles include gallery attendant and front of house duties. WELCOME TO THE ESTORICK COLLECTION The Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art opened in London in 1998. A Grade II listed Georgian town house, it was originally restored with support from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Further recent renovations have opened up the space of the ground-floor entranceway, bookshop and café, while its six galleries and art library have also been fully upgraded. The Collection is known internationally for its core of Futurist works, as well as figurative art and sculpture dating from 1890 to the 1950s.
