CURRICULUM | FAMILIES IN SCHOOLS Families In Schools (FIS) develops culturally-relevant parent curricular programs from birth to college, designed to engage families in the education of their children. The programs are focused on critical issues that all parents should know in order to support learning and advocate for their children’s needs, ranging from quality early education, family literacy to college awareness andLGBT+ RESOURCES
De Ambiente is a community space for bilingual Spanish-speaking LGBTQQ youth, ages 10-25 years old. De Ambiente is the only Spanish speaking support group for LGBT Latino youth in the San Francisco Bay Area. De Ambiente provides an opportunity for building community, health education, leadership development, and social events acs-teens.org. Families dramatically influence the degree to which children are engaged in school and how they identify themselves as learners. Transition programs enable parents to gain confidence in guiding and monitoring their child's educational and social development during the transition year to middle and high school so the child is prepared for, and ultimately successful after high school. CREATING A NEW ROUTINE FOR YOUR CHILD Allowing them to use their creativity is a great way to help children stay engaged in the absence of school time. Children can draw, paint, play with clay or Play-Doh, build with Legos, listen to music, help with cooking or baking, or other creative activities. De Ambiente is a community space for bilingual Spanish-speaking LGBTQQ youth, ages 10-25 years old. De Ambiente is the only Spanish speaking support group for LGBT Latino youth in the San Francisco Bay Area.
