Dr Maryam Correa is the Head of Operations at The George Institute for Global Health, Australia. In this role she leads strategic oversight of services and operational platforms for Academic Project Operations, Commissioned Research, Community and Consumer Involvement and Administration. Maryam also holds a Conjoint Senior Lecturer appointment with UNSW, Faculty of Medicine, Executive SALINE VS. ALBUMIN FLUID EVALUATION STUDY (SAFE) A landmark study that changed the way clinical research is conducted in critical care. The SAFE study investigated the effects of fluid resuscitation with 4% human albumin solution or normal saline solution on all cause mortality of intensive care unit patients. The data collected is further being used to highlight areas where patient outcome maybe improved through sub-study analyses.JAMES FITZPATRICK

MARYAM CORREA
Dr Maryam Correa is the Head of Operations at The George Institute for Global Health, Australia. In this role she leads strategic oversight of services and operational platforms for Academic Project Operations, Commissioned Research, Community and Consumer Involvement and Administration. Maryam also holds a Conjoint Senior Lecturer appointment with UNSW, Faculty of Medicine, Executive SALINE VS. ALBUMIN FLUID EVALUATION STUDY (SAFE) A landmark study that changed the way clinical research is conducted in critical care. The SAFE study investigated the effects of fluid resuscitation with 4% human albumin solution or normal saline solution on all cause mortality of intensive care unit patients. The data collected is further being used to highlight areas where patient outcome maybe improved through sub-study analyses.JAMES FITZPATRICK
James is a Paediatric Advanced Trainee with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, and a PhD candidate within the Discipline of Paediatrics and Child Health, the University of Sydney Medical School.
