It will allow equipment purchased after November 20, 2018 to be depreciated for tax purposes, at an accelerated rate. Normally in the year that equipment is acquired, only half of its value is available for capital costallowance (CCA).

DISTRICTS, DIRECTORS, & DELEGATES Scott Persall is the director for Grain Farmers of Ontario’s District 5 (Elgin and Norfolk). He is the third generation to work the family farm near Waterford known as Roanoke Farm. Along with his father, Doug, and his wife, Sara, he grows corn, soybeans, and wheat on 400 acres. District Meetings. Each January, Grain Farmers of Ontario supports its 15 districts in holding District Meetings. These meetings serve as annual elections for district representation, and District Director elections are held every other year (even numbered districts in even numbered year, odd numbered districts in odd numbered years). HISTORICAL CORN PRICES Grain Farmers of Ontario is the province‘s largest commodity organization, representing Ontario‘s 28,000 barley, corn, oat, soybean, and wheat farmers. The crops they grow cover over 6 million acres of farm land across the province, generate over $4.1 billion in production value, result in over $18 billion in economic output and are responsible for over 75,000 jobs in the province.
