Our opening hours have changed slightly so that we can keep visitors safe by cleaning throughout the day: Monday - Friday: 10am - 5pm* (closed 12-12.30pm and 2.30-3pm for cleaning) Saturday: 10am - 4pm* (closed 1-1.30pm for cleaning) Sunday: 11am - 4pm* (closed 1-1.30pm for cleaning) We are admitting fewer people into the Museum and operating time slots so we can provide enough space for MUSEUM ACTIVITIES FROM HOME OR SCHOOL Museum Activities from Home or School. If you are still not able to visit the museum, here are some activities for you which work at homeor at school.
FACILITIES | GREAT NORTH MUSEUM: HANCOCK The Hancock Cafe will reopen on Friday 28 May with daily hours of 10.30am - 3.30pm. Covid-19 has had a huge impact on our income. Now more than ever, we believe culture sits firmly at the heart of the North East - please help us keep it there. ESSENTIAL INFORMATION Museum entry is free, as are all our workshops – but we welcome donations! We recommend a donation of £1.50 per head for school visits. For a minimum donation of £30, you can have a butterfly on our Butterfly Wall which children will be able to see on futurevisits.
