The Halifax County Manager's Office manages all departments of county government to assure that adequate levels of service are provided to citizens as efficiently as possible. The facility features the original smokehouse, barn, chicken coop, cannery, washroom, water pump house, and dairy barn. Beside the dairy barn, an antique farm equipment museum has been built. Also, there is an old saw mill used to cut timber which was built in 1929. CAMPS | HALIFAX COUNTY, NC Applications are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Parents must complete the Camper Application (PDF) and pay prior to attending camp. For more information, call 252-583-5161. BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Halifax County is governed by a Board of Commissioners. The Board is comprised of six members, three elected by district and three elected at large. Commissioners serve four-year terms, and elections are held in November of even-numbered years. The Board takes office at its first meeting in December following the November election.Learn More
