It promotes self efficacy and hinders isolation by exploring our common bond, shared experiences, challenges, wisdom and insight. The H&V Virtual Waiting Room . Welcome to the Hands & Voices HQ Virtual Waiting Room. This site was created for you, families with children who have been referred to or are in the care of an audiologist and who are receiving those services through technology or“telehealth.”

The Supplement* defines quality early intervention and how you can better recognize recommended practices in the services provided to your child. The national Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) Parent to Parent Committee developed this guide to communicate directly with parents. You can use this Guide to understand what youhave
H&V GBYS - HANDS & VOICES Guide By Your Side™ Hands & Voices Guide By Your Side ™ is a replicable family support program that embodies the mission and vision of Hands & Voices ™, which is to provide unbiased support to families with children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Guide By Your Side (GBYS) does this through specially trained parents of children who are deaf or hard of hearing. H&V FAMILY, LANGUAGE & LEARNING Family Leadership in Language and Learning (FL3) works to ensure that United States subsidized EHDI systems incorporate certain elements that support the families, parents and caregivers of deaf or hard of hearing infants/children identified through newborn hearing screening in optimizing language, literacy, and social-emotional development. HANDS & VOICES :: UNILATERAL HEARING LOSS TIPS Get your child's attention and then start to talk. Provide occasional pauses in what you say to allow more time for your baby to understand the message. Place more emphasis on key words in a phrase. Parents can carefully observe their child and note any warning signs that hearing loss is affecting development. Consider these tips: HANDS & VOICES :: COMMUNICATION CONSIDERATIONS The system provides a visual counterpart to match both spoken and written English. It is often used in combination with speech and/or auditory training, and in simultaneous communication programs. The use of SEE does not exclude the use of ASL or other sign languages or sign systems. In fact, roughly 75% of the signs in SEE are the traditionalHANDS & VOICES
