Karen Pollock CBE, Chief Executive of the Holocaust Educational Trust says, “Herbert came to the UK on the Kindertransport as a teenager. Determined to fight the Nazis, he joined the British Army in 1944. HOLOCAUST EDUCATIONAL TRUST Introduction to the Holocaust: Footballers Remember is a short educational film based on the historic visit in June 2012 by the England football squad to the site of the Nazi concentration and death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in Poland.. Using both historical footage and contemporary interviews with members of the England squad, Introduction to the Holocaust: Footballers Remember stimulates HOLOCAUST EDUCATIONAL TRUST Antisemitism. This lesson introduces students to the ideology which underpinned the Holocaust by looking at the long history of antisemitism before focusing on its central and pervasive place within Nazi thought. Our brand new immersive, virtual educational programme, Lessons from Auschwitz Online, will take post-16 students on a journey of learning and reflection; offering them the opportunity to explore the Holocaust through a ground-breaking, interactive, digital platform. Students will take part in three live online seminars guided by experts in the field HOLOCAUST EDUCATIONAL TRUST Project Details. Live Session 1 Sunday 4th July 2021 13.00-17.15. Our Family Learning Pack is designed for 10- to 11-year-olds and their families, based on our classroom resources for primary schools. The Holocaust Educational Trust will arrange an online testimony session for your group with a Holocaust survivor and a trained facilitator. I had the privilege of taking part in the Lessons from Auschwitz Project in 2018. I am now an Ambassador for the Trust and as such I have a responsibility to continue to remember the testimonies of survivors in order to create an understanding in all, that discrimination is not tolerated. Susan was born Zsuzsanna Blau on 9th September 1930 in Felsögöd, Hungary. She had one brother, Laci, and lived with her mother and father. She also had a large extended family who she regularly spent time with. Susan became aware of antisemitism in her hometown from a young age. HOLOCAUST EDUCATIONAL TRUST Leslie was born on 29th May 1929 in Ambud, a small village near Satu Mare in Romania, into an Orthodox Jewish family. He had three brothers and four sisters, and his father was a Rabbi. HOLOCAUST EDUCATIONAL TRUST Introduction to the Holocaust: Footballers Remember is a short educational film based on the historic visit in June 2012 by the England football squad to the site of the Nazi concentration and death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in Poland.. Using both historical footage and contemporary interviews with members of the England squad, Introduction to the Holocaust: Footballers Remember stimulates HOLOCAUST EDUCATIONAL TRUST Holocaust Educational Trust – Outreach Programme. We are now arranging Online Outreach! The Holocaust Educational Trust will arrange an online testimony session for your group with a Holocaust survivor and a trained facilitator. The meeting will last about 1 hour and the survivor will share their story for 45 minutes, before aninteractive Q+A.
