FORCED STERILISATION IN AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU A particular form of abuse to which many Roma were subjected in the Nazi concentration camps was forced sterilisation. FORCED STERILISATION IN AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU A particular form of abuse to which many Roma were subjected in the Nazi concentration camps was forced sterilisation. When the Nazi sterilisation programme was launched as early as in July 1933, it did not explicitly target the Roma, though as a group they were particularly vulnerable under the Sterilisation Law, and many hundreds were forcibly sterilised in the years leading up to the war JØDANE I NOREG 1851-1942 Jødane i Noreg 1851-1942. I 1892 vart Det mosaiske Troessamfund i Christiania stifta, 41 år etter at Noreg hadde opna grensene for jødisk innvandring. På denne tida budde det i underkant av 300 jødar i Noreg, og like før andre verdskrigen omlag 2000. Det er livsviktig at folk med minoritetsbakgrunn er en likeverdig del av befolkningen. Gang på gang ser vi at når kriser oppstår – enten det gjelder klima, helse eller væpnet konflikt – er minoriteter alltid de som først blir utsatt», sier Cora Alexa Døving. Opptak av tidligere arrangementer RASISTISKE ORD OG DISKUSJONER KAN BIDRA TIL HANDLINGER Den 26. januar 2021 markerte 20 år siden drapet på Benjamin Hermansen, et rasistisk motivert drap som rystet Norge og verden. - Det var et sjokk over brutaliteten, over at et ungt mennesket blir rammet på denne måten, men også en synliggjøring av hva rasistiske ord og diskusjoner også bidrar til av handlinger. Det var en vekker for veldig mange. Sa statsminister Erna Solberg da hun og direktør ved HL-senteret, Guri Hjeltnes snakket sammen om hendelsen. Les mer. DEN INTERNASJONALE HOLOCAUSTDAGEN 2021 Hvert år markeres Holocaustdagen 27. januar. Dagen markeres for å minnes vi de seks millioner jøder og de andre offergruppene for nazistenes tilintetgjørelser. Her kan du se en oversikt over hvordan dagen ble markert rundt om i landet. HL-senteret gjennomfører hvert år den nasjonale markeringen på Akershuskaia i Oslo. I år ble dagen markert heldigitalt grunnet smittevern. Se opptaket her. Årets hovedtale på vegne av regjeringen holdes av statsminister Erna Solberg etterfulgt av kunnskaps- og integreringsminister Guri Melby. Programmet omfatter ellers taler og appeller ved ordfører Marianne Borgen, forstander ved Det Mosaiske Trosamfund, Ervin Kohn, Thorvald Steen, Inge Aleksander Gjestvang, Elsa Kvamme og Claudia Josef, foruten innslag ved ungdom fra Det mosaiske Trossamfund og sang ved kantoren i DMT.BESØK OSS
