12,899. Location. 97FL, Florida, USA. Apr 10, 2021. #13. When I lived in Raleigh, NC, not far up the road from Lowe’s corporate office, service in Home Depot was excellent, and Lowe’s was abysmal. Retired to here in Florida, and Home Depot was good for a few years, while Lowe’s was terrible. Now neither is any good. ZONGSHEN AERO ENGINES AVAILABLE IN EUROPE Air K Motors is the official European distributor of Zongshen Aero Engines. BD-4 ADVICE
The back seat is a bit narrow for two full-sized people, although my youngest son finds it quite comfortable. The new BD-4C is 4" wider and 17" longer making it a true four place airplane with room for people and baggage. The BD-4 was the first airplane to be FLYING FLEA THRUST LINE QUESTION My Falconer plans and also other Flea plans have the thrust line of the engine at 10 cm. above the upper fuselage longeron. I would prefer to have it at the upper longeron, 10 cm below the suggested location for cowling esthetics. What is the downside to doing this and should Ijust live with a
TURBINE TWIN VELOCITY TFF. To use a turbine to its potential, you have to climb high. Take advantage of true airspeed. Flying consistently at 20,000-25,000 ft. 200 kt indicated at 20,000 is 290 kt. That’s how you take advantage of a turbine. At 10,000 ft TSA on 200 would be 245 kt; that’s a lot of free speed, but 45 kts more is not chump change. SO I TALKED TO AEROLITE 103. So by their Info, a 277UL with the right Prop should work also. They only show a 60" & 63" Prop. A Rotax 277UL (26hp@6250rpm) with a 2.58 Redrive at 77F using a 63" x 19 Pitched for 2,322.5 rpm = 227.83 lbs Static Thrust and needs 25.474 hp! A Hirth F-33 (28hp@6500rpm) with a 2.5 Redrive at 77F using a 60" x 20 Pitched for 2,500 rpm = 217.18 lbs Static Thrust and needs 27.514 hp! WHAT IS THE BEST AIRFOIL FOR A USA PART 103 ULTRALIGHT The Ara D 20%, an airfoil meant for use on wind turbine blades near the root, has a thick trailing edge and is, of course, 20 percent thick. It gets a max Cl above 1.8, although with significantly more drag than the Momfoil or the Clark Y. On an ultralight, that drag may not make much difference. Ok, show me a modern diesel of the same hp which weighs less than a modern than a modern SI turbo engine. How could a diesel be lighter? They have larger/ thicker pistons, rods, wrist pins, cranks and blocks. I will suggest the entire lineup of VW engines going way back to the earliest turbo BUILDING A VW AERO-ENGINE The drilling needs to be done on the right side , same side of cylinders #1 and #2. Remember the front of the engine is the flywheel end and the rear of the engine in the pulley end and #1 and #2 is on the right side or passenger side. ( looking from the rear bumperforward ). G.

I just spent $1,500 today on some premium long range digital fpv quadcopter gear, and not on ultralight aircraft raw materials, if that tells you anything as to the direction I myself am heading in with my aviation career. STEERABLE NOSE GEAR VS. CASTERING NOSE GEAR The steering nose gear is obvious superior in ground handling, and i have been studying the ch-601 nose gear, but there are a couple things i do not like about them. 1. The Nose Gear is directly connected to the rudder peddles, so if you bent the front gear on a landing, there is a possibility you will lose the ability to steer. 2. CASTERING NOSE GEAR The steering nose gear is obvious superior in ground handling, and i have been studying the ch-601 nose gear, but there are a couple things i do not like about them. 1. The Nose Gear is directly connected to the rudder peddles, so if you bent the front gear on a landing, there is a possibility you will lose the ability to steer. 2. The airfoil shaped buckets were a neat idea but a lot of the bonds have cracked and the previous owner "fixed" them with fiberglass patches. HEY - WHY IS NO ONE BUILD HEATH PARASOLS ANYMORE Hi Guys. I was wanting to see a Heath Parasol, and was considering building one as a first build; well along with a Fly Baby. I was wondering if it would be a good candidate for a 1/2 VW rather than an A40. But I can't find one in Southern CA. And I can't find websiteswith folks building
