COVID-19 RESOURCES FOR MEMBERS AND GLOBAL PUBLIC HEALTH To assist IANPHI members, partners, and other public health professionals, IANPHI created a list of publicly available resources, links and documents related to novel coronavirus (COVID-19) response, as well as a list of publicly available web pages and documents detailing responses of our member organizations. Resources are primarily in English. ROLE AND CHALLENGES OF NPHIS IN COVID-19 VACCINATION IANPHI hosted a webinar on April 14, 2021 on the role and challenges of national public health institutes in COVID-19 vaccination. Speakers included Dr. Roee Singer, head of IHR National Focal Point and deputy director of the Division of Epidemiology at Israel's Ministry of Health, Prof. (Dr.) Tahmina Shirin, director of Bangladesh's Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research, and FRAMEWORK FOR NPHI DEVELOPMENT The IANPHI Framework for the Creation and Development of National Public Health Institutes (NPHI) is a guide to the formation and growth of the world's NPHIs. IANPHI EXECUTIVE BOARD'S CONCLUSIONS OF THE 2020 VIRTUAL The IANPHI Executive Board's conclusions of the 2020 IANPHI Annual Meeting, or 'Fiocruz Declaration', re-assert the crucial role of national public health institutes (NPHIs) in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond, and the key principles upon which NPHIs are built, while raising some of most pressing issues of global publichealth.
IANPHI HOSTS COVID-19 WEBINAR WITH IHME ON PANDEMIC As part of an ongoing COVID-19 webinar series, IANPHI held a webinar on June 3 in partnership with the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) to discuss COVID-19 pandemic forecasts with national public health institutes (NPHI) and key stakeholders. The webinar addressed the methodology and data source of the third generation of IHME’s model as well as the implications of IANPHI EUROPE HOSTS WEBINAR ON PUBLIC HEALTH AND CLIMATE Held on October 9, 2020, the IANPHI Europe Webinar entitled 'Public Health and Climate Change Challenges: Mobilizing National Public Health Institutes into multi-sectoral alliances' is the first webinar of the virtual 2020 IANPHI Europe Meeting. 2019 IANPHI ANNUAL MEETING Speakers. STAGED DEVELOPMENT TOOL Staged Development Tool Workshop and Sessions. The SDT can be used by established NPHIs or during the development of an NPHI if it is clear what groups and which people will comprise the NPHI. The SDT process is designed to be facilitated. We recommend using an external facilitator trained on how to use the tool, especially if the NPHI isusing
