SPIN-MECHATRONICS
Spin-Mechatronics. We investigate the interconversion phenomena between spin and mechanical angular momentum in moving objects. In particular, the recent results on spin manipulation and spin-current generation by mechanical motion are examined. In accelerating systems, spin-dependent gauge fields emerge, which enable the conversion from SPACE EFFICIENT OPPOSED-ANVIL HIGH-PRESSURE CELL AND ITS We have developed a new type of opposed-anvil high pressure cell with substantially improved space efficiency. The clamp cell and the gasket are made of non-magnetic Ni–Cr–Al alloy. Non-magnetic tu OBSERVATION OF A NOVEL PHASE TRANSITION IN SR7RE4O19 We have synthesized good-quality powder samples of Sr 7 Re 4 O 19 and found a phase transition at 206 K accompanied by some changes in both electronic properties and structure. The values and the temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility indicate the existence of a Pauli paramagnetic state above 206 K and a nonmagnetic state below 206K.
TWO SUPERCONDUCTING PHASES IN THE ISOVALENT SOLID We have recently reported two superconductors with the \(d^{1}\) square lattice, BaTi 2 Sb 2 O (\(T_{\text{c}}=1.2\) K) and BaTi 2 Bi 2 O (\(T_{\text{c}}=4.6\) K). In order to find a clue behind the superconductivity of these materials, we synthesized isovalent solid solutions of BaTi 2 (As 1-x Sb x) 2 O and BaTi 2 (Sb 1-y Bi y) 2 O. Single crystals of Cr 3 Te 4 with the pseudo-NiAs type structure have been made by chemical transport method in order to investigate the anomaly below 80 K. The saturation moment at 4.2 K is equal to 1.79±0.03 µ B per Cr 1- x Te (x=0.25), and the Curie temperature is 316 K. ULTRASONIC INVESTIGATION ON A CAGE STRUCTURE COMPOUND We present experimental results of elastic constants as a function of temperature ( T ) and magnetic field ( H ) for a single crystal of PrTi 2 Al 20 for the first time. A clear elastic softening was observed in the temperature dependence of elastic constants, C L =( C 11 +2 C 12 +4 C 44 )/3 and C T =( C 11 - C 12 + C 44 )/3, being suggestive of a remarkable fluctuation of quadrupolar moments REFLECTION OF SHOCK WAVES–1 PSEUDO-STATIONARY CASE Reflection of Shock Waves–1 Pseudo-Stationary Case. Results of theoretical and experimental investigations on shock reflection at a fixed wall are reported in this paper. COMPARATIVE STUDIES OF OPTICAL AND SCINTILLATION We have investigated optical and scintillation properties of LiGaO 2 and LiAlO 2 crystals. From the transmittance spectra, the absorption edges were found to be around 200 nm but wider band gap was confirmed for LiAlO 2 than LiGaO 2.Both photoluminescence and scintillation spectra showed a broad emission band peaking at 340 nm in the bothcrystals.

JOURNAL OF THE PHYSICAL SOCIETY OF JAPAN (JPSJ)http://jpsj.jps.jp
The JPSJ has been disseminating excellent research articles covering all fields of physics for 67 years since its launch in 1946. Each monthly issue comprises letters and full papers on original research. Invited papers on selected topics are also published occasionally. Every month, the editorial board chooses a few Editor's Choice papers to recognize outstanding accomplishments, for which an expert in the field explains the word's significance in the JPSJ News andComments.
PROGRESS OF THEORETICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL PHYSICS (PTEP) https://academic.oup.com/ptep/ Launched in 2012, the Progress of Theoretical and Experimental Physics (PTEP) succeeded Progress of Theoretical Physics (PTP), which was founded by Hideki Yukawa in 1946 and had distributed a number of revolutionary papers in theoretical physics. While PTP is concerned mainly with theoretical physics, PTEP is actively involved in publishing papers on experimental physics, including particle physics, nuclear physics, astrophysics, and beam physics. The monthly issues consist of letters and papers on original research, as well as occasional invited papers and special sections. PTEP is a fully open access and online-only journal that anyone can read free of charge. JPS CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS https://jpscp.jps.jp The Physical Society of Japan has launched a new open access journal, JPS Conference Proceedings (abbreviation: JPS Conf. Proc.) in 2014. It provides a fast publication of proceedings of an international conference, workshop, summer school or symposium, consisting of peer-reviewed articles.JPS HOT TOPICS
https://jpsht.jps.jp/ To widely disseminate the works published in JPSJ, PTEP, and JPS Conf. Proc., JPS launched "JPS Hot Topics" in March 2021, in which hot topics of research papers published in these journals are introduced. In doing so, they are presented in an intelligible manner, even for graduate students and non-specialized researchers across the world, using video presentations in some cases.
