This is a trio born to work together and over the course of six tracks (the rest of the album is completed with tracks by Broadrick/Martin) we get a visceral thrill that razor cuts through the fridge buzz shit of RIVAL SONS: FERAL ROOTS Available now. Rival Sons are back with an album that takes the modern radio-rock sound and elevates it to a whole new level. Feral Roots doesn’t shy away from the bands older influences and keeps the rawness of the band alive and well but adds a more polished production and ultimately packs a IN CONVERSATION WITH ELIZABETH WESTWOOD OF WESTWORLD In conversation with Elizabeth Westwood of Westworld. US based LTW contributor Marc MsStea recently caught up with Elizabeth Westwood, they took the opportunity to discuss the formation of Westworld and whats next:. Westworld were an anomaly in the mid 80s, when they first appeared as an unsigned band with a memorable promo clip on The Tube. Eschewing the synth dominated bland-out BAD POP PREMIERE 'GREY AREA' VIDEO Bad Pop 'Grey Area' Out via Killing Moon Records Bad Pop release the penultimate teaser before their Dark Metal EP is unleashed June 15th. Get an | Louder Than War Bad Pop premiere their new video for penultimate single 'Grey Area' before EP release June 15th THINGS WE DIDN’T KNOW A MONTH AGO: MAY 2021 MODERATE REBELS are an interesting lot that apparently played their debut show (one song, half an hour) at Rockaway Beach a year or two ago and have decided to release three albums in 2021.The first of these is currently available and is wonderful. If You See Something That Doesn’t Look Right came out in April and is a chaotic yet compelling piece of work that one simply needs to see live JAMES: ALL THE COLOURS OF YOU James: All The Colours Of You. TOP 15 NON DRUGGY MUSICIANS JEFF BECK – came up with psychedelic and heavy metal riffs before them all (including Hendrix – who admitted stealing some in performance!); dude WAS the inspiration for Nigel Tufnel in Spinal Tap; often jammed with Clapton, Hendrix, and Page, recorded with Keith Moon and toured with Rod Stewart; Grammys and Hall of Fame memberships up the wazoo and an inspiration to many rock BILLY NOMATES: BILLY NOMATES Billy Nomates – Billy Nomates (Invada Records) CD/ DL/ Vinyl. Out August 7th 2020. 9/10. Andy Brown dances his socks off in the kitchen listening to the debut album by Leicestershire born, post-punk songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Billy Nomates. PHOBOPHOBES: MODERN MEDICINE Amy Britton reviews Modern Medicine, the expansive and paranoid second album from Phobophobes. | Louder Than War RATS ON RAFTS ANNOUNCE TOUR, INTERDISCIPLINARY MUSIC FILM Rats On Rafts announce tour dates and details of a new interdisciplinary film project of their latest album, Excerpts From Chapter 3 | Louder Than War FLUVSTER: MIGHTY MITE album review. Fluvster: Mighty Mite (Lost Moment Records) DL only – from Spotify or Apple or here (Netherlands). Out now. As I said before: ‘Fluvster is a one-off, an artistic nomad, a space-cadet politico, a hippy-punk jester’. On this, his latest and possibly his best work, he seems to be getting a bit more downbeat and serious. THE SILVERTONES: SILVER BULLETS The Silvertones - Silver Bullets Reissue of the 1973 album recorded with Lee Scratch Perry, the first LP to have its rhythms set down at his Black Ark studio READING/LEEDS 2021 ANNOUNCE ALL MALE HEADLINERS : LACK OF Some great new music has been brought out in the last 12 months from female artists, such as Taylor Swift’s new Folklore album, Hasley’s Manic, Dua Lipa’s disco album Future Nostalgia, Lady Gaga’s unapologetic pop album Chromatica and Lana Del Ray’s Norman Fucking Rockwell to name a few. These albums have all been, and still are, absolutely huge.__
