The decision to prosecute Ponting under the Official Secrets Act resulted in a lengthy trial by jury, which the government lost on 11 February 1985, amidst massive negative publicity. It was all made significantly worse by a cack-handed phrase in the judge's summary of the case to the jury that "the policies of MT'S PRIVATE FILES FOR 1990 MT's private files for 1990 - (6) Rome, "No no no", and Howe resigns. At the end of October 1990 MT went to her final European Council and found herself isolated 11:1, as so often before. She told the press she was sorry for the eleven.
