Daytona Racing Motorcycle. c.1934 Indian Sport Scout. SHELBY COBRA 289 ROADSTER McQueen's Shelby Cobra 289 Roadster. Basically a lightweight English sports car frame with a big American Ford V8 engine under the bonnet, the Shelby motorcar company claimed to have created the fastest production car in the world. Capable of speeds of up to 140 miles per hour, there would be less than 1000 surviving Cobras in the worldtoday
STEVE MCQUEEN IN "THE GREAT ESCAPE". In the scenes leading up to the big jump where Virgil Hilts is being chased by the Germans, director John Sturges struck a problem. McQueen as Hilts kept out running the less skilled German riders chasing him. The solution Steve did his own riding as Virgil, and then donned a German bike helmet and uniform and did the riding for the pursuing MCQUEEN SCALE MODEL CARS This is the Box Artwork from the AMT 1:25 Scale Model release of the 1968 Ford LTD Country Squire Wagon that Steve McQueen drove in The Getaway. These "assemble it yourself" AMT releases are unique in that you could "customize" the car (with a choice of optional parts). This is a very rare item, no doubt because it is one of the lesser known STEVE MCQUEEN IN "SOMEBODY UP THERE LIKES ME"" The Original Aspect Ratio of the film is 1.75:1. Directed by Robert Wise, who would later direct Steve in The Sand Pebbles. Somebody Up There Likes Me is a biopic of the early years of real life World Middleweight Champion Boxer Rocky Graziano. The first Rolex Explorer was created in 1953, and the practical theme behind its name and design was "exploration". Designed with the 1953 ascent of Mount Everest in mind, the watch focused on the needs of mountaineers and other similar explorative pioneers. 1958 GMC PICKUP TRUCK 1958 GMC Pickup Truck. Chassis no. 1018CS1318A. This GMC Pickup Truck is a 101-Series, half-ton model on the 114 -wheelbase chassis, fitted with the 336cu in (5,508cc) V8 engine. Wonderfully flamboyant, its over-the-top styling reflecting the passenger car trends of the period, the 101-8 offered the best power-to-weight ratio of the entireGMC
