MOAR POWAH!
Silverwolf’s Den: Uncanny X-Men Superior Vol. 1: Survival of the Fittest. I love the X-Men. It’s hard for me to remember a time in my life when I wasn’t unaware of the team, having grown up on the oft-referenced 90s television series. Still, when I’ve delved into the comics starring the merry mutants I’ve been impressed as manytimes
MOAR POWAH!
There’s a certain weirdness in comics that I’ve never found in any other type of media. I won’t deny there are strange books, films, video games, plays, operas, etc. out there, but there’s something about comics that allows for a particular brand of oddness to be triedand, in many
THE MECHS OF WARHAMMER 40K The Space Marines are basically Games Workshop’s cash cow franchise, so they come up a lot in discussions about 40k. And Dreadnoughts are one of the most symbolic things about the Space Marines, behind the Marines themselves, Terminators, Rhinos, Drop Podsokay so they’re not THE most symbolic thing about Space Marines, but they’re still pretty darned symbolic. THE LEGEND OF ZELDA CARTOON REVIEW In which Cheshire goes as long as she possibly can without making a “Well, excuuuuuuuuse me, Princess!” joke. The Legend of Zelda franchise consists of 17 games for Nintendo consoles and handheld systems, two games for the short-lived Phillips CD-i video game system, various comics and manga, five novels, one cartoon adaptation, and one giant, whiny fandom. NBA PLAYERS AND THE GENERATION OF MIRACLES Both Kuroko and Rondo would never be in the discussion for some of the greatest players. What’s also interesting is that Rondo played alongside and “augmented” the abilities of three surefire Hall of Famers (Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen) much in the way Kuroko did for the other Generation of Miracles players. REVIEW: EF - A FAIRY TALE OF THE TWO Kaushik October 9, 2012. April 21, 2014. Review, Visual Novels. I know ef – a fairy tale of the two has gotten an anime adaptation, probably several manga adaptations, and a light novel adaptation. However, I’ve just finished the original visual novel, and am basing all my knowledge of the series off that. Yes, the visual novel! MECHA MONDAY: FULL METAL PANIC! LIGHT NOVELS: THE FINAL In essence, he’s the realist to Leonard’s idealist. However, all the while, Kalinin still regards him as his son, as he reveals when Sousuke wins the fight. Meanwhile, at the Soviet missile base, we learn that Clouseau and Mao are having a tough time, but luckily, a familiar face shows up to lend a hand. 5 BAD BOOK TO FILM ADAPTATIONS As the summer movie season rolls in on us I cannot help but notice a trend. Brace yourselves: the YA dystopian novel book adaptations are coming. With the success of The Hunger Games it’s no wonder people want to bank on stories of scrappy young teens struggling to survive in crumbling “utopian” societies. But alas, I cannot help but cringe at this summer’s hot, new book-to-film SWORD ART ONLINE CHAPTER 16.5 REVIEW The Inverseman here with a super special review tonight! I will be reviewing the beautiful 16.5 chapter of the critically acclaimed Sword Art Online series. The secret chapter that was not put in the publication. Well, let’s dig in. This was the removed chapter that investigates the intimate relationship between Kirito and Asuna. WHY THE ENDING OF STAR TREK: INTO DARKNESS MAKES ME MAD Back about a month ago, I reviewed the new Star Trek film, Star Trek: Into Darkness in which I said I liked everything but the ending, and tried to just pass my own biased opinion. I promised then I was going to write an article about why I didn’t like the ending, and it took a lot of careful thinking to try and explain my point without resorting to a violent rage or Trekkie fangirl shouting.MOAR POWAH!

Kaushik: Well, I think I’ve reached the end of problems I had with the N64. As a closing argument, I’d like to argue that insofar as the N64’s legacy is concerned, it seemed more like a testing ground for 3d games than anything else, and to me that made the quality of the console and its overall impact in terms of quality and quantity of software choices suffer as a result.REVIEW: NICHIJOU
So this week I’m doing another comedy series. This one is more gag-based and less plot-based than something like Full Metal Panic! Fumoffu. It ran this year, from April to September, and was definitely one of the top ten shows of the year (as my list should show).KAIJU SUSHI RECIPE
Fandom is a pretty powerful thing, inspiring great works of art and fiction–and even fiction that can be accepted by publication companies. (Whether said fan-fiction-turned-published-books are of quality though) And fandom is even powerful enough to provide us with tangible means of expressing one’s love for a Thing. THE FLASH-ARROW CROSSOVER EVENT REVIEW This is one area where I will admit to feeling a bit mixed from a comics perspective. It’s not a dealbreaker, but I do find it weird that this week’s metahuman was a character invented wholecloth, when there’s already a DC villain whose abilities fit what he can doperfectly.

The Warhammer 40k universe is an incredibly expansive and interesting setting that is, unfortunately, in thrall to its fanbase. There are a lot of cool elements to the setting that, outside of their respective codices, never really see the light of day because of the setting devotion to the Space Marines. WHICH KILLING FLOOR CLASS WOULD I CHOOSE IN A ZOMBIE For today’s “HHS,” I will be going through the various classes available in the zombie survival game Killing Floor and ordering them based on which one I would most want to be in the event of a real life zombie apocalypse. All the perks with each class such as increased damage or movement speed will be ignored because that can’t be applied in the real world. IS HOCUS POCUS REALLY THAT GOOD? The Off-Brand Stuff: While the chemistry between the sisters is solid, the dialogue of the other characters is cringe-worthy.When Dani talks about Max’s love of Allison’s “yaboes” I literally wanted to put my head through a wall. Stilted, wooden, or overly awkward is how the majority of these lines come off, and I’m inclined not to blame the actors for this since I can’t imagine LAEVATEIN'S READIN' SESSIONS: FATE/STAY NIGHT 0:00. 0:00. 0:00 / 1:31. ELESSAR’S BEST MOVIES OF 2016 2016…2016 can go f**k itself. Between the horrors in the political field, a series of subpar movies and the unending deaths of beloved celebrities and roll models (I found out Carrie Fisher died as I sat down to write this), 2016 is probably going to be long remembered as ajust plain …

One trend I’ve been absurdly grateful for in the last few years is the return to Smart Sci-Fi, IE sci-fi movies where the focus is more on being a good story and having engaging characters, than on ridiculous high octane action (although, having those doesn’t hurt). I’ve always found conspiracy theories fascinating. Not in the “I believe them” sense. More in the “What is wrong with this person that causes them to believe this absurd thing” sense.
