------------------------- Multikids is Accra's leading school for diverse learners. Established in 2010 the school is celebrated 10 years of inclusion in 2020. Accredited in 2010 by Cambridge International Education, in 2012 by ASDAN UK, Edexcel in 2018 and BTEC in 2021, the School offers accredited pathways for all learners from Early Years to Post 16. The CAIE Cambridge Curriculum guides our Primary curriculum up to IGCSE and A levels in the Upper Secondary. We are also offering IGCSE equivalency with BTEC for those learners who may have a learning disability or who want to take a vocational pathway. Multikids is also accredited by ASDAN UK and provides a structured, hands on curriculum, for learners with special needs up to 21 years. 2020-2021 has seen our first year of BTEC programmes, offering accredited vocational courses in Art and Design, Business and Enterprise, Performing Arts and ICT. At Multikids, Special Provision is tailored to meet the specific learning needs of each child. In addition to specialist teaching across the curriculum, the Inclusion and TherapyTeam
ensure that therapy and learning needs are met. Special Provision includes Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Counselling and specialist teaching (teachers with additional skills to assess and implement the Individual Education Plan for each child). Educational Psychologists also provide assessment and advice forpupils.
Therapy is integrated into the curriculum on a daily basis through a transdisciplinary approach, where therapists team-teach with specialist teachers in subjects, so that skills are consolidated within the classroom. Therapy is also delivered on an individual, small group and class basis. This collaborative approach allows teachers and therapists to learn from each other, sharing skills and developing professionally for the benefit of the children. -------------------------Connect to Facebook
