DIY Tiered Serving Trays. By Mindi@MyLove2Create. 5:00 AM. Hello Friends! Today I am showing you how to make DIY Tiered Serving Trays to use up some of that scrap wood you have laying around. This project is easy, useful, and it.MY PROJECTS

ELEVATED PLANTER BOX PLANS 2- 1x2's @ 21'' (side slats) 2- 1x2's @ 48'' long point to long point ends cut at 45 degrees, ends not parallel (top boards) 2- 1x2's @ 24'' long point to long point ends cut at 45 degrees, ends not parallel (top boards ends) Once you have all your wood cut it is time to build. Start with building two sides. I used my Kreg K5 Pocket-Hole Jig to HOW TO PAINT A SUBFLOOR It is 24 inches long, we made sure that the sections we were not painting were measured from the outsides of the tape, see the tips of the arrows above, on the "leave gray" section. Second, attach the counter supports (make sure you are drilling into all studs and using heavy duty wall anchors if needed), and then add the counter top. HOW TO EXTEND A DRESSER I added the hardware cloth to the front of the hampers with a staple gun, then trimmed the excess with wire cutters or pliers. All that was left was to measure and cut the fronts of the dressers. I used 3/4 plywood to match the size of the original drawer fronts and glued and nailed them on from the front.STANDING COAT RACK

SLANTED WALL BUILT-INS, WITH HIDDEN STORAGE I hope this was helpful if you are planning to tackle a similar project. Here is an approximate cost break down for my sister's built in's: 5 sheets of 3/4 inch 4x8 foot plywood @ 38.97 each = 194.85. 2 inch wood screws 1 lb = 6.47. 1 1/4 inch pocket hole screws, box of 100 = 3.97. Paint tray set= 12.97. HOW TO TRIM OUT A WINDOW Step 4: Add header casings. I used a 1x6 board for my main header it is cut the same size as the apron and matches up with the side casings. I also added a small piece of decorative trim to separate the header and side casings. You could place a 1x2 like I did with the stool on before you add the 1x6 header and then set the 1x6 on top ofthe 1x2.

I found an image of the coca-cola symbol and converted it to an SVG file using a free online converter, (just google it) and then cut it out on contact paper to make a stencil using my cricut. I cut two so I could put the symbol on opposite sides of the crate. Then with hardly any paint on my brush I lightly filled in the stencil.X ARBOR WITH BENCH

BENCH REPURPOSED INTO A PLANTER Then I simply screwed it to the back of the bench. For the rest of the box I pre-drilled holes through the legs. Because the legs were thicker I used a large drill bit, bigger than the head of my screw, and drilled halfway through the legs. Life is busy already, but when you throw in three family birthdays, my in-law's 50 wedding anniversary including a trip to Vail, an out of state marathon, and other family events, oh yeah, and Halloween. Here is an approximate cost break down for my sister's built in's: 5 sheets of 3/4 inch 4x8 foot plywood @ 38.97 each = 194.85. 2 inch wood screws 1 lb = 6.47. 1 1/4 inch pocket hole screws, box of 100 = 3.97. Paint tray set= 12.97. KITCHEN ISLAND WITH PANTRY STORAGE Here is a shot of me dry fitting the crates to create the kitchen island, using the idea of three separate sections all attached together. I cut the angles on my x pieces and then drilled a pocket hole in each end for attaching it to the side. I love my Kreg K5 Pocket-Hole Jig (affiliate link) and how you can drill pocket holes at such steep angles. Here are my x pieces ready to be put into the sides. DIY COCA-COLA CRATE
I found an image of the coca-cola symbol and converted it to an SVG file using a free online converter, (just google it) and then cut it out on contact paper to make a stencil using my cricut. I cut two so I could put the symbol on opposite sides of the crate. Then with hardly any paint on my brush I lightly filled in the stencil.
