FOOD TRUCK SCHEDULING CALENDAR Food Truck Scheduling Calendar How to Schedule a Food Truck in Park Locations. Confirm current availability in park locations on the scheduling calendar (see below) COAL MINE INFORMATION Background: Coal was the primary resource that gave Nanaimo its start in the 1800s. It was mined in various locations around Nanaimo from 1852 until the 1950's. Coal is found in sedimentary rock along underground seams varying in depth and thickness. The process of removing coal from these seams created open spaces (or mine tunnels) which miners temporarily reinforced using timbers or other BURNING REGULATIONS & PERMITS A burning permit is required. A permit can be obtained by calling the Nanaimo Fire Rescue Department at 250-753-7311. Burning is only permitted from sunrise to sunset, Fridays and Saturdays, during the months of April and November. Fire must be on the property owned by the individual who wants to burn. MANUAL OF ENGINEERING STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS Manual of Engineering Standards and Specifications. The Manual of Engineering Standards and Specifications (MoESS) forms part of the Subdivision Bylaw and is referenced in several other City bylaws.It is a guide for the construction of City-owned civil engineering projects. The MoESS is used by anyone designing or constructing work within existing or future City rights-of-way.
