In order to provide the best and safest experience for the industry, NASF is moving this year’s SUR/FIN Show and Manufacturing & Technology Conference from July to November 2-4, 2021. This year’s event will be an excellent opportunity for the industry to come NASF PUBLIC POLICY UPDATE The National Association for Surface Finishing has released its Public Policy Update for May 2021. Some of the highlights in the update are summarized below. You can access the May 2021 Public Policy Update here. EPA Announces Formation of PFAS Council — EPA Administrator Michael Regan announced the formation of the EPA Council on PFAS NASF ELECTROPLATING & SURFACE FINISHING COURSE NASF's Electroplating & Surface Finishing course is beneficial for operators and supervisors of job shops and captive shops applying a broad range of surface finishes on a variety of substrates. The goal of this course is to present a broad range of information related to the fundamentals of electroplating, and methods of preparing parts for various surface finishing processes. PFAS IN SURFACE FINISHING The surface finishing industry is the only industry to have proactively requested and received a ban on PFOS use in a — USEPA regulation. The ban came into full effect in 2015. The industry had adopted safer, EPA-approved, commercially available alternatives for fume suppression, including both EPA-approved fluorinated andnon-fluorinated

The goal of this course is to provide the student with a broad range of information related to removing, neutralizing and/or destroying pollutants found in metal finishing wastewater.
