CANADA'S NATIONAL BALLET SCHOOL Canada's National Ballet School strives to be a resource for the dance community and beyond. Below are a selection of resources related to the crucial health, wellbeing, and personal education of members ofthe NBS community.

CANADA'S NATIONAL BALLET SCHOOL Jill Daley Jill Daley's career as a ballet accompanist is the culmination of her lifelong musical study and deep love for ballet. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and attended graduate school at Boston University's School for the Arts. CANADA'S NATIONAL BALLET SCHOOL Canada’s National Ballet School Ballet staff bring a love of dance, years of experience and expert training honed through professional dance experience and/or continuing professional development to their teaching. All Ballet teachers are graduates of the Teacher Training Program at NBS and many have taught at the School for over 25 years. CANADA'S NATIONAL BALLET SCHOOL On March 20th, NBS hosted a screening of the film Capturing Grace, directed by Dave Iverson. Tthe award-winning film tells the story of the Brooklyn Dance for PD® program in New York. CANADA'S NATIONAL BALLET SCHOOL Auditioning for the Associates Program. Do you know a young dancer aged 6-17 who is excited to explore their love of ballet and dance? The Associates Program (AP) at Canada's National Ballet School is a part-time Dance Education and Training program that allows young dancers in the Greater Toronto Area to participate in after-school and weekend dance classes from mid-September to early June. CANADA'S NATIONAL BALLET SCHOOL 150 seated guests or 220 standing guests. Built in 1911 as a Quaker Meeting House, Currie Hall was the original site of Canada’s National Ballet School. And one of their programs, Creating Community for Isolated Ethno-Cultural Seniors, highlights the critical role of grass-roots ethno-cultural groups in supporting seniors’ well-being. When Chris began working with Sharing Dance Canada, he believed the dance activity would be a CANADA'S NATIONAL BALLET SCHOOL A graduate of St. Petersburg's Vaganova Academy, Sergiu Stefanschi won the silver medal at the first International Ballet Competition at Varna, Bulgaria, in 1964. He was a principal dancer with the Bucharest Opera House, le Théâtre Français de la Danse, and the National Ballet of Canada. Sergiu has been a full-time teacher at NBS since1979

CANADA'S NATIONAL BALLET SCHOOL The Three-Year Diploma Program is available to adults 18 years of age and above who have completed Grade 12 (OSSD or equivalent) and who have a strong dance background. Admission to the School’s Teacher Training Program is through a two-stage audition process. Rob Thaller holds a BFA degree from the University of Saskatchewan and a master's in music from the University of Rochester.
