HERO PAY - OCCRRA
Hero Pay. OCCRRA is excited about the opportunity to support Governor DeWine’s Hero Pay initiative, which is vital to the early childhood and school-age professional workforce. In December 2020, Congress passed the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021. The Act provided Ohio with funding to help support OHIO PROFESSIONAL REGISTRY Ohio Professional Registry. The Ohio Professional Registry (OPR) is Ohio’s workforce registry information system that promotes individual professional growth and development. The OPR captures data about early childhood, child serving agencies and school age professionals in a variety of roles and settings and serves as acomprehensive data
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® OHIO. T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® OHIO is a compensation and retention program for Child Care professionals. Active in 23 states, T.E.A.C.H is designed to address education, compensation and turnover issues that affect the early childhoodfield.

POWER Ohio was created by a subcommittee of state agencies and early childhood stakeholders. POWER is an acronym for Powering Optimal Wages and Encouraging Retention.The program purpose is to provide additional funds to professionals and increase these trained professionals’retention in
SCHOOL-AGE ENDORSEMENT The renewal requirements include completion of the required training, Inclusion Umbrella Strategies for School-Age Programs: Supporting Children of Diverse Backgrounds and Needs, three additional OA hours of trainings and a letter of work experience stating the required number of hours for each level that were completed during the time frame from issuance of the initial endorsement.VIEW TRAINING
The objective of this course is to provide early childcare professionals with an update to child abuse recognition, management, and prevention. Competency: 1.5 Implements safety preparedness plans, recognizes the signs of child abuse and neglect, and demonstrates the basic emergency procedures for performing first aid and CPR.VIEW TRAINING
This ODJFS created staff orientation training provides information on child care licensing rules for new child care staff members. The training must be completed within 30 days of starting employment at the center as a child care staff member.
