DIRECT DIVISION
This consultation with children living in Direct Provision accommodation focuses on their views of their rights under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and their life inIreland.
In line with government guidelines, we have adapted our work practices and so will not have as many staff present in the Office at this time. We’d like to reassure you that WE ARE STILL TAKING COMPLAINTS AND WORKING TO PROMOTE THE RIGHTS OF CHILDREN. However, given the serious nature of the problems facing the country we expect there will be a delay in the processing of complaints and getting responses from public bodies about particular queries. Due to restrictions arising from Covid-19 we are also unfortunately unable to accept walk-in complaints to the Office from members of the public at this time. If you are concerned about the safety of child, please contact Tusla, the Child and Family Agency at _www.tusla.ie_ or An Garda Síochana _www.garda.ie_ . We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding at thistime.
