SOS – SUMATRAN ORANGUTAN SOCIETY With many of us spending a lot of time on Zoom video calls for work, exercise or socialising at the moment, we thought we’d help you liven up your screen with some free backgrounds to download. We’re very grateful to Andrew Walmsley for allowing us to use four of his photos for this purpose. We’re working with businesses and organisations across the city to boost efforts to protect orangutans and their rainforest homes in Sumatra. With fewer than 14,000 Sumatran orangutans and 800 Tapanuli orangutans remaining in the wild, these species are both classified as Critically Endangered. In fact, the Tapanuli orangutan is the most endangered great ape in the world. SOS – SUMATRAN ORANGUTAN SOCIETY Helen has been leading SOS since 2005.
