In a totem-like display of screens, the viewer travels through a vertical landscape of ABRAHAM'S FAREWELL TO ISHMAEL This work is a sculptural representation of a key episode in the Old Testament revolving around a dilemma faced by the Biblical patriarch Abraham. In this story, Abraham's wife Sarah seeks to ensure the right of inheritance of her son Isaac by demanding that her husband expel his mistress Hagar and her first-born son from their home. After receiving divine promise of Hagar and FELIPE MUJICA: THE SWAYING MOTION ON THE BANK OF THE RIVER Felipe Mujica (b. Santiago, Chile; lives in New York) creates works comprised of installation, drawing, collapsible sculptures, and printmaking. ABRAHAM'S FAREWELL TO ISHMAEL This work is a sculptural representation of a key episode in the Old Testament revolving around a dilemma faced by the Biblical patriarch Abraham. In this story, Abraham's wife Sarah seeks to ensure the right of inheritance of her son Isaac by demanding that her husband expel his mistress Hagar and her first-born son from their home. After receiving divine promise of Hagar and FELIPE MUJICA: THE SWAYING MOTION ON THE BANK OF THE RIVER Felipe Mujica (b. Santiago, Chile; lives in New York) creates works comprised of installation, drawing, collapsible sculptures, and printmaking. His fabric panels—or curtains, as he describes them—operate as both sculptural objects and functional architectural interventions. They often serve as modifiable extensions to the space in which they are displayed; some of them are ZHAO GANG: HISTORY PAINTING Zhao Gang (b. 1961, Beijing) is a key figure in the development of Chinese contemporary art. The youngest member of the Stars Group—China’s first modern art movement—Gang left China in 1983 to study, live, and work in Europe and the United States. Third Horizon Film Festival 2021, in partnership with Pérez Art Museum Miami's Caribbean Cultural Institute (CCI), presents a screening of the acclaimed new documentary Stateless.The film traces the complex tributaries of history and present-day politics in the Dominican Republic, as state-sanctioned racism seeps into mundane offices, living room meetings, and street protests.
