ALMOND SLICES RECIPE Sift the flour into a bowl. Rub in the butter or margarine until it looks like breadcrumbs. Stir in the sugar and 1 egg yolk. Roll out the pastry to fit the 20cm baking tin. Spread the jam over the pastry. Beat the egg white until stiff. Add the sugar and ground almonds folding in with a metal spoon. Spread the mix over the jam. EASY LEMON YOGHURT CAKE RECIPE Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Grease a 2lb loaf tin. Mix together the sugar, flour, baking and lemon zest in a large mixing bowl. Add the yoghurt, oil, yoghurt and eggs and mix together thoroughly until combined and smooth. Bake in the oven for about 40 minutes until risen and brown on top and shrinking away from the sides of the tin. 7 EASY BEEF MINCE RECIPES Beef mince is one of the most versatile meats for easy supper recipes. It is a relatively low cost meat – and healthy too. Add some basic store cupboard ingredients and you have a range of meals you can cook for your midweek suppers. Place the pasta in a large saucepan, cover with boiling water. Bring back to the boil and simmer for 10-12 minutes until cooked. Meanwhile heat the olive oil in a large frying pan.
