Introduction. Sony A7s with Leica 90mm 2.0 Summicron M (pre Asph) and VM-E close focus adapter (Helicoid) The Leica Summicron-M 90mm 2.0 has been Leica’s top of the line M-mount portrait lens from 1980 to 1998. But that has changed. The Loxia 21mmf2.8 and 35mmf2 that started new in 2015 for 1450 and 1150EUR, now used 600-700 and 400-500EUR. But also, if lenses have good/bad reviews the prices can plummet over the years. One example is the Sony 24-70f4 ZA that started new at 1200EUR in 2014 now used 300-400EUR. Reply. REVIEW: LAOWA 11MM 4.5 FF-RL Introduction Laowa 11mm 4.5 on Sony A7rII. Laowa introduced 3 ultra wide angle lenses at roughly the same time in Summer 2020. This 11mm 4.5 FF-RL is in the one in the middle in terms of focal length and maximum aperture, but is it the goldilock’s lens in this set or should you rather stick to the record breaking 9mm lens or the low distortion 14mm lens? 135MM LEGACY SHOOT OUT: SMC PENTAX-M F/3.5 VS CANON NFD F The Canon newFD 135mm f/3.5 is the clear winner. Wide open across the frame sharpness is very good already and stopped down to f/5.6 sharpness across the frame is simply excellent. The SMC-Pentax-M 135mm f/3.5 performs quite similar in the center but is quite a bit weaker in the corners. Stopped down both lenses are excellent performers. REVIEW: TTARTISAN 11MM 2.8 FISHEYE Introduction TTArtisan 11mm 2.8 Fisheye on Sony A7rII. Fisheye lenses are not exactly hugely popular and the fact that we haven’t seen a fullframe fisheye lens designed for mirrorless yet – in more than 60 years of the Leica-M system we haven’t seen a single one – onlysupports this.
REVIEW: MS-OPTICS 24MM 2.0 APORIA Whenever some lens is advertised as “the smallest lens ever made” we usually get to deal with some junky fixed focus and fixed aperture pinhole lens. The MS-Optics 24mm 2.0 Aporia is a very different story though, only 45g and less than 6mm in length but with a maximum aperture of f/2.0, a real diaphragm and rangefinder coupled focusmechanism.

Although it has some weaknesses it is currently one of my favorite lenses. I n this review I discuss the strengths and weaknesses of this lens. Most sample pictures can be found in this Flickr album. It’s a 100mm f2.8 macro, which focuses down to twice life-size. A feat no other lens in its class achieves. It also focuses to infinity. It claims tobe apochromatic.
SHORT REVIEW: OLYMPUS OM ZUIKO MC 100MM 1:2.8 The Olympus OM 2.8/100 is a tiny lens with a generally good performance and few limitations. I think it is a great choice for those occasions when you don’t want to carry a heavy bag. Despite these positive characteristics, the lens is quite affordable and I think it offers great value. The Olympus OM 2.8/100 usually sells foraround $90 used

THE RATED LIST OF MINOLTA MD/MC LENSES ON THE SONY A7 Minolta MD Rokkor 135mm 1:2.8 (3/5) This is a solid lens but the 2.5/100 is a little bit sharper, has nicer bokeh, less bokeh fringing and less CA.
