In essence, it is a “Pet Nat”, but at very low pressure, sort of like a Txakoli. Here, the wines are bottled with a touch of sugar that is left to ferment inside the bottle to create the light fizz. The 16 acre vineyard is comprised of 20 "micro blocks" and several clonal selections of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Each block is vinified seperately and later blended to produce one of three Cabernet's from the estate. In 2017 Napa's most famous winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, took over the reigns atGemstone.

The Ezio T. estate is a Barbera specialist located in the Asti hills in the hamlet of Vianoce. The winery is based in the early nineteenth century complex of Agliano Terme, which has been in the family since the 1920s. At this time, two brothers, Secondo and Serafino were running the winery.
