POLYMER CLAY CENTRAL I learned how to make this cane in a class taught by Susan Bradshaw sponsored by the South Bay Polymer Clay Guild. Tom Jeffrey was initially inspired to create this cane after viewing art created by Linda Gertsch (December 1998 issue of Jewelry Crafts magazine).Tom later demonstrated how he creates this cane at a South Bay PolymerClay Guild Meeting.

POLYMER CLAY CENTRAL Step 5: Fill the inside of each wing with Transluscent Liquid Sculpey. Step 6: Take glitter and sprinkle inside each wing. Step 7: Take the toothpick and swirl the glitter around, making sure that it is evenly spread thoughout each wing. Step 8: Bake the wings as instructed - 275-300 degrees F for 15-30 minutes. MARIE SEGAL'S SECRETS OF ABALONE 2 Now we're going to roll the ripples out of the clay sheets that we just cut off. Place the clay sheet into the Pasta machine with the ripples goong vertically. Roll through at the thickest setting. Now place the clay sheet into the Pasta machine with the ripples going in horizontally. Turn your thickness down one setting and roll the claythrough.

Place the sheet into your Pasta machine and roll it through at the highest setting (my machine is set at #1). Your sheet should look like this after its first trip through the Pasta Machine.
